On a crisp Saturday evening, Kos & Kaos welcomed the Jewish New Year with an event filled with warmth, reflection, and community spirit. The gathering set the tone for the year ahead – one of hope, belonging, and cultural renewal.

The evening opened with reflections from rabbi Michael Kohn, who spoke about renewal, courage, and connection, reminding us that each new year invites both personal and collective growth. The atmosphere was open and joyful, as members and friends from across Norway came together over food, conversation, and handmade cocktails.
Rather than focusing solely on ritual, the event emphasized the cultural and ethical dimensions of Rosh Hashana – what it means to enter a new year with intention, and how identity and community sustain us in changing times. Held in a contemporary setting where tradition met creativity, the gathering allowed participants to engage with Jewish heritage in a living, inclusive way.
By bringing together heritage, dialogue, and celebration, the Rosh Hashana Gathering embodied the mission of Kos & Kaos: to preserve and renew Jewish culture in Norway, to bridge past and present, and to create spaces where Jewish life can thrive in openness and connection.
