Kok & Kaos

On a frosty -13°C evening, we gathered at the sauna on Oslo’s port for an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by distinct Israeli wines and Karat caviar from Kibbutz Dan, the atmosphere was warm and reflective. Israeli/South African Samuel J. Hyde (Jewish People Policy Institute) and Henrik Beckheim led profound discussions on what it means to be a Jew in the diaspora, particularly in Norway after October 7th.

Conversations delved into the challenges facing Israel and the Jewish community, ultimately ending on an optimistic note for the future. Ice-bathing specialist Daniel Ellis guided invigorating plunges into the freezing water, making for a dynamic blend of deep dialogue and exhilarating moments. The evening was a tremendous success, fostering connection, resilience, and hope for 2025. The wines we tasted where from all over Israel, from small businesses to bigger ones.

We screened this video from Domien Banias. Oren & Virginie’s organic farm  grow wild truffles and make ancient wines from the slopes of the Hermon Mountain, keeping the traditions of Banias Kings.
